We are currently seeking to appoint an experienced Deputy Manager to lead our residential care team in Portlaoise, Co. Laois. The successful candidate will have a minimum Level 7 degree qualification in a relevant field and a minimum of 3 years' experience of working in a social care setting with children and young people.

The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, be able to provide guidance and support to staff members, and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. They will also be able to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and contribute to the development of policies and procedures that promote best practice in childcare.

The role will involve overseeing the day-to-day operations of the residential care team, ensuring that high standards of care are maintained at all times. This will include managing staff rotas, conducting regular checks on the physical and emotional well-being of our young service users, and coordinating training and development opportunities for staff.

The Deputy Manager will also play a key role in promoting the organisation's values and principles, which prioritise the needs and views of our young service users. They will be responsible for identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to ensure that we continue to provide a high-quality service that meets the needs of our service users.
