About the Role
This is a full-time position with standard working hours (Monday-Friday). We offer flexible work arrangements, including the opportunity to split your monthly work hours between our Dublin and Letterkenny Offices and telecommute from a home-based office in a hybrid work model.
Primary Responsibilities:
* Design, deploy, and manage scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure on AWS.
* Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform for provisioning and managing cloud resources.
* Monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure for performance, cost, and security.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design cloud-based solutions that meet business requirements.
* Automate repetitive tasks and build CI/CD pipelines for efficient deployment processes.
* Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure, applications, or services.
* Ensure compliance with security best practices and industry standards for cloud deployments.
* Document infrastructure designs, processes, and procedures for operational transparency.
Required Qualifications:
* Professional experience in cloud engineering.
* Hands-on expertise in AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, MongoDB, Lambda, VPC, IAM, EKS (Kubernetes), MSK (Kafka), OpenSearch, EMRs, SageMaker, Bedrock (Gen AI).
* Strong hands-on experience with Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
* Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
* Solid understanding of cloud security principles, networking, and best practices.
* Experience with monitoring and logging tools like CloudWatch, CloudTrail.
* Proven track record of designing and implementing fault-tolerant, cost-efficient cloud solutions.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and/or Microsoft Azure in addition to AWS.
* Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or GitHub Action.
* AWS certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, SysOps Administrator, or DevOps Engineer or any other equivalent certifications.
* Understanding of multi-cloud or hybrid cloud environments.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaborating with diverse teams.
