Job Overview

This role involves overseeing and delivering client-side services in the Water Sector in Ireland.


Main Responsibilities

* Monitor and control project delivery around schedule, interface, cost, variations, contract, and risk.
* Develop a Project Execution Plan, ensuring alignment with Contracting Entity standards and methods.
* Coordinate design consultants and external service providers with technical teams.
* Consult with stakeholders on a regular basis.
* Prepare monthly reports on project tasks throughout the lifecycle, including construction.
* Maintain the project risk register and update at monthly progress meetings.
* Identify opportunities to enhance Project Management procedures, templates, and products.
* Create detailed cost estimates.
* Review Contractor's design and deliverables in detail.
* Manage contracts effectively.


Key Requirements

1. Minimum of 7+ years' experience in the Construction/Infrastructure sector on projects of similar size and complexity.
2. A relevant third-level qualification in engineering or related discipline is required.
3. A qualification in project management such as PMP, and PRINCE II will be advantageous.
4. Familiarity with Health & Safety legislation and regulations is essential.
5. Knowledge and experience of project management methodologies are necessary.
6. Strong water engineering technical capability is expected.
7. Familiarity with contract administration and delivery is essential.
8. The ability to set up ongoing procedures to collect and review information as needed is crucial.
9. Experience in operating on-site, not just office-based, would be beneficial.
10. A track record of delivering construction/asset delivery projects on time and within budget is expected.
11. Knowledge of operating as a client's project manager is necessary.
12. Experience in dealing with a range of stakeholders at all levels to influence process improvement and guidance to support project delivery is essential.
13. The capacity to self-motivate is vital.
14. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required.
15. The ability to govern and drive outcomes to meet required standards is crucial.
16. Planning capability and experience with Oracle Primavera P6 scheduling would be an advantage.
17. Computer literacy is essential.
