Summary Of The Business
The National Treasury Management Agency (NTMA) provides asset and liability management services to the Irish Government. It has evolved from a single function agency managing the National Debt to a manager of a complex portfolio of public assets and liabilities.

Role Summary
SBCI is seeking to recruit a Senior Data Analyst within the Data Analysis & Reporting Team. The primary role of the job holder is to deliver accurate reporting to stakeholders and to enhance this process through analytical insight and automation. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Microsoft Power BI, ensuring data accuracy, accessibility, and visual clarity. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements, translate them into data models, and deliver actionable intelligence that supports operational and strategic goals.
This position requires strong proficiency in data visualization, DAX, Power Query, and SQL, along with a deep understanding of data warehousing concepts and management information best practices. The ideal candidate is a problem-solver with a passion for turning data into stories that inform and inspire.
Principal Accountabilities
The role will include but is not limited to:
* Design, development and maintenance of interactive and insightful Power BI dashboards and reports, ensuring visualizations are intuitive, accurate, and aligned with user requirements.
* Optimisation of reporting performance, refining DAX measures and Power Query logic to improve report efficiency, accuracy, and responsiveness.
* Contributing to and maintaining SBCI Enterprise Data Warehouse system that support business intelligence and analytics
* Analysis of complex datasets to uncover trends, patterns, and actionable insights, communicating findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
* Ensuring data accuracy and integrity in reports through rigorous attention to detail and thorough data validation. Identification of data quality issues and resolution of discrepancies with the data owners.
* Building strong relationships with key stakeholders. Collaboration with stakeholders to understand requirements, improve reporting usability, and ensuring attention to detail, accuracy, and timely resolution of queries.
* Driving team development through leading knowledge-sharing initiatives, peer reviews, and hands-on coaching to enhance team proficiency in Power BI.
* Provide ad hoc reports and data analysis as and when requested.
* Work collaboratively with other support services functions of the SBCI that are engaged in the loan scheme projects e.g., NTMA IT, NTMA Legal as appropriate.
The SBCI operates with a small and focused team, which means that flexibility is required from all team members to contribute to efforts beyond their specific areas of responsibility when necessary. All team members are expected to participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives within the SBCI and with external stakeholders.
Experience / Qualification
* As a minimum, a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Technology or other relevant discipline.
* At least 5 years of experience in a senior data analytics or business intelligence role within a similar environment.
* Proven expertise in Power BI, including advanced DAX, Power Query, and data modelling techniques.
* Strong proficiency in SQL for data extraction, transformation, and manipulation.
* Practical experience using Python or R for data analysis and predictive modelling
* Solid understanding of statistical methods to derive insights, validation and testing of hypotheses, and prediction of outcomes.
* Advanced Excel skills for data validation, reconciliation, and problem-solving.

* Demonstrated expertise in data accuracy, reconciliation, and meticulous attention to detail.
* Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and conflicting priorities efficiently.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse audiences across all levels, including technical and non-technical stakeholders.
* Confident presenter, able to communicate insights and strategic recommendations clearly to key stakeholders and the wider SBCI team.
* Self-motivated and capable of working independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, while actively contributing to and supporting the Data Analysis & Reporting Team.
* High energy individual with the ability to work in fast paced changing environment.
* Strong project management skills, with a focus on delivering high-quality outcomes on time and within scope.
* Familiarity with financial data and workflows is advantageous.
Pension Abatement
