Overview
THE POSITION
Reporting to the Head of Services (South and West), the Director of Services, Cork and Kerry will provide strategic leadership and management to ensure the effective development and delivery of services aligned with Enable Ireland's values and strategic goals. The Director will lead a dedicated team of over 450 employees, delivering high-quality services to 2,310 children and 190 adults in the region. This role drives ongoing strategic development while ensuring safe, person-centred, high-quality care.
Working in close collaboration with the HSE and other key stakeholders, the Director will shape and influence national strategy and policy in the disability sector. The successful candidate will demonstrate strengths in strategic and organisational development, leadership, financial planning and fundraising support, quality and safety management, and capital project delivery.
Responsibilities
* Provide strategic leadership and management for a wide range of services in Cork and Kerry, ensuring alignment with Enable Ireland’s core values and strategic goals.
* Lead and develop a large team (over 450 staff), overseeing service delivery to 2,310 children and 190 adults.
* Collaborate with the HSE and other stakeholders to shape national strategy and policy within the disability sector.
* Drive the ongoing strategic development of services and ensure safe, person-centred, high-quality care.
* Oversee financial planning, fundraising support, quality and safety management, and capital project delivery.
Requirements
* Senior manager with an exemplary track record in operational leadership, team management, and business transformation or large-scale change/project management.
* Experience in a large not-for-profit, disability organisation, public sector, or private health/social care provider is essential.
* Understanding of disability service delivery, HSE service arrangements, HIQA regulations, and Irish public sector funding within the voluntary disability sector.
* Core competencies: strategic vision; leadership; relationship management; critical thinking and decision making; change management; communication and influencing; business and financial acumen.
* Strong commitment to Enable Ireland’s mission, vision and values.
