We are seeking an experienced Data Analytics & Business Intelligence (BI) Lead to join the Kilsaran team. This pivotal role involves leading and growing a small team, engaging directly with the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) to provide insights, and fostering a data-driven decision-making culture. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience with the latest technologies in data analytics and BI, and will play a key role in deploying Fabric and Power BI across business units.

Responsibilities:

Lead the development and implementation of data analytics and BI strategies, mentoring and growing a team of data analytics professionals.

Engage with the SLT to provide actionable insights and drive data-driven decision-making.

Oversee the deployment and integration of Fabric and Power BI across business units in co-operation with our implementation partner.

Develop and maintain data warehouses, including dimensional design, stored procedures, and index handling

Manage ETL processes to load data into data warehouses and develop and optimise data cubes for key BI projects

Master Data Steward for all master data within the organisation

Required Knowledge and Skills:

Expertise in Microsoft SQL Server database design and development

Strong ETL skills using Azure Data Factory and Azure SQL Database.

Knowledge of BI/DW industry trends and best practices, including the Kimball approach to DW design

Familiarity with DSDM (Dynamic Systems Development Method) is a plus

Relevant Certifications:

Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate

Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate

Microsoft Certified: Azure AI Engineer Associate

Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate

Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert

Experience Required:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in data analytics and BI development

Experience in engaging with senior leadership and providing strategic insights, translating business requirements into solution design

Strong background in data warehouse development and BI using the Microsoft BI stack, with hands-on experience with Power BI and Fabric

Familiarity with data quality management and dimensional hierarchy management

Experience of managing and delivering on the master data workstream in a CRM and/or ERP deployment.
