WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
The QC Chemist will be responsible to analyse Raw Materials, In-Process Intermediate and Finished Product, using instrumental and wet chemistry test methods.
YOUR ROLE
* Maintain a constant awareness of safety as it relates to Laboratory areas and participate in safety program as required.
* Perform all required raw materials, in-process and finished product testing
* Record results and interpret correctly
* Apply all relevant laboratory techniques and methods used to verify product quality and stability.
* Perform all work under CGMP guidelines.
* Assist in a variety of investigations, following up any out of specification results
* Recommend modifications, improvements or work simplification to SOP's etc as appropriate.
* Perform water and environmental testing as required.
* Ensure that EHS roles and responsibilities are complied with as per the requirements of the site Safety Statement
* Other project work as determined by Site Quality Lead, QC Lead and/or Quality Supervisor
YOUR BACKGROUND
Education Requirements
* Bachelors Degree in Chemistry
* Masters Degree (Added advantage but not essential)
* PhD: n/a (Added advantage but not essential)
Experience
* Previous experience is not essential although 12 months relevant industrial experience is an advantage
* Familiarity with HPLC, GC and other analytical instrumentation is essential
* LIMS/Empower experience advantageous
* Good computer skills.
* Demonstrated lean capability advantageous
