**Senior Design Engineer Role**
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Design Engineer to join our team in Limerick, Ireland. As a technical lead, you will be responsible for ensuring accuracy, compliance, and high engineering standards on assigned design work.
About the Role
* You will act as technical lead on assigned design work, providing guidance and support to junior engineers and design staff.
* Produce, evaluate, and sign off drawings, calculations, reports, and other design deliverables.
* Work closely with project managers, site teams, and specialist disciplines to ensure designs are practical, efficient, and safe to construct.
* Build strong working relationships with clients and stakeholders to ensure objectives are fully understood and met.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Act as technical lead on assigned design work, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and high engineering standards.
2. Provide support, mentoring, and day-to-day guidance to junior engineers and design staff.
3. Produce, evaluate, and sign off drawings, calculations, reports, and other design deliverables.
4. Work closely with project managers, site teams, and specialist disciplines to ensure designs are practical, efficient, and safe to construct.
5. Review project schedules, monitor progress, and help drive the timely delivery of design outputs.
Requirements:
* Proven experience in design engineering within the utilities, water, or civil infrastructure sector.
* Ability to work collaboratively across teams and disciplines.
* Strong problem-solving ability with good judgement and initiative.
* CAD software expertise, preferably in MicroDrainage or Innovyze MicroDrainage for drainage design.
* Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to project delivery.
