Job Title:
Maintenance Technician Role Overview
The successful maintenance technician will be responsible for installing, supporting, maintaining, overhauling, adjusting and modifying in-house computer and machine systems throughout a single site.
This role involves both electrical and mechanical aspects of the technician's job and requires undertaking any task which is within their competence. The main focus is on optimising performance and troubleshooting various computer/machine issues, both hardware and software to reduce downtime.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Install, maintain, overhaul, adjust and modify in-house computer and machine systems
2. Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues
3. Work cooperatively with others to achieve collective goals
4. Manage spare parts, procurement and stock control levels
5. Assist with training technicians as required
6. Demonstrate high standards of Health & Safety
Requirements:
1. Industry-specific experience not required but relevant repair experience is necessary
2. 1 or more years of repair experience in a relevant role or repair centre experience (relating to PC, laptop, smartphone and tablet repair)
3. Electronic qualification or genuine interest in technology
4. Ability to solder and replace chips/caps on PCs and electronic boards
5. Experience in electronics debugging and fault-finding
