The firm has over 25 offices, the firm is recognised for its expertise in supporting clients operating in complex and highly regulated environments.You will join a team of 30+ solicitors across several specialist sub teams. The practice advises a broad range of regulatory bodies and public sector organisations, offering guidance on governance, statutory interpretation, investigations, enforcement, and litigation arising from the exercise of statutory powers.As part of the team's ongoing growth, we are seeking to appoint experienced solicitors with a solid background in litigation & regulatory work.The RoleThis position offers a varied and intellectually engaging caseload. You will advise on matters that shape regulatory decisions and the operation of statutory functions, with regular exposure to senior stakeholders.Some examples of the work the team are involved with include:Managing regulatory files involving fitness to practise and disciplinary processes from initial assessment through to sanction.Preparing and presenting cases before disciplinary committees, boards, and tribunals.Acting in Superior Court litigation, including judicial reviews, statutory appeals, urgent applications, and related public law proceedings.Advising regulatory bodies on the scope of their statutory powers and obligations.Drafting detailed legal opinions on a wide range of public, administrative, and regulatory issues.Collaborating with colleagues across the wider Public & Regulatory group to deliver cohesive and commercially aligned advice.The Person2/3 + years' PQE in Public & Regulatory Law, Administrative Law, or a similar area (more experienced applicants will also be considered).Strong litigation experience, ideally with exposure to judicial review.Proven capability in producing clear, well structured written advice on complex issues.A commercial mindset and awareness of the broader context in which clients operate.The ability to communicate effectively with senior professionals and build strong, trusted relationships.Excellent attention to detail, organisational skills, and the capacity to manage a busy and varied workload.A collaborative approach, along with the confidence to take initiative and work independently where required.The PerksBonusHybrid workingPensionHealthcareStructured professional developmentExposure to significant regulatory matters and high-value public law workInterested?If you would like to learn more, hit Apply or contactMark McQuadeon orfor a confidential discussion.
