Project Manager - Wastewater Above Ground Programme (Civil Engineering) Location: Nationwide, Ireland Duration: 2 years plus Sector: Civil Engineering / Water Industry Are you a skilled Civil or Environmental Engineering professional with experience in the wastewater sector? This is an exciting opportunity to work as a Project Manager on a Wastewater Above Ground Programme for Uisce Eireann.
This exciting opportunity involves managing projects related to constructed wetlands; phosphorus removal; chemical safety; inlet works, storm and sludge; energy efficiency; HSQE; and pressure vessels etc.
WPR is partnering with a global consultancy who has an established relationship with Uisce ireann (Irish Water) for the delivery of essential water and wastewater network projects.
Due to the recent awarding of a major contract in the Wastewater Above Ground Programme, we are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join the team based anywhere in Ireland reporting to the Lead Project Manager.
Key Responsibilities: As a key member of the Engineering Wastewater Team, your duties will include: Project and Budget Management: Oversee the day-to-day planning, design progress, and construction management of wastewater network projects, liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
Lifecycle Representation: Represent the employer throughout the entire project lifecycle, from initiation to completion.
Feasibility and Planning: Produce feasibility studies, option appraisals, cost plans, and business cases.
Collaborative Design: Work with other design team members in an integrated approach.
Procurement Management: Prepare contract documents, drawings, and specifications for procurement.
Construction Monitoring: Manage project progress against the program, monitor costs, and ensure quality assurance during the construction phase.
Key Attributes and Experience: Qualifications: A third-level qualification in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering.
Experience: A minimum of 5 years' project management experience in civil engineering, with a preference for experience in the water or wastewater sector.
Skills: Excellent communication skills, particularly in report writing and client liaison, contract administration.
Technical Knowledge: A working knowledge of Auto CAD is advantageous.
