Role Overview:
You will work closely with our client to support the delivery of the
governance and oversight for their Data and AI strategy
. In this role, you will support the project team in building and testing solutions, as well as coordinating vendors to ensure the successful delivery of the strategy.
You will operate across the
Microsoft technology stack
and should have in-depth knowledge of Microsoft products, holding relevant
Microsoft certifications
to fully understand the systems. As a
Technical Business Analyst
, you will leverage extensive experience in
data and IT projects
, including databases, system implementations, and migrations.
Exceptional
stakeholder management skills
are essential, as you will work closely with both client and vendor teams to understand requirements, align priorities, and drive outcomes. You will play a central role in
bridging the gap between client users and technical teams
, capturing needs, reviewing solutions, and ensuring successful delivery.
Purpose:
To design scalable, secure AI architectures that align business goals, vendor solutions, and technical infrastructure for the organisation's AI programme.
Key Responsibilities:
* Define high-level AI solution designs, including ML pipelines, cloud integrations, and hybrid architectures that meet enterprise standards.
* Collaborate with stakeholders and vendors to conduct AI feasibility studies, architecture reviews, and proof-of-concept (PoC) blueprints.
* Ensure alignment of AI solutions with enterprise architecture, data architecture, data governance, and IT security teams.
* Lead technical workshops, pattern definition, and risk assessments for AI deployments.
* Support vendor evaluations, integration planning, and handover to development and operations teams.
* Document architecture decisions, diagrams, and trade-off analyses.
Required Skills/Experience:
* Strong experience solution architecture, with hands-on AI/ML projects in the utilities or public sector.
* Excellent understanding of data management principles, including handling personal and sensitive data (e.g., PII).
* Expertise in cloud (especially Azure), APIs, and DevOps/MLOps.
* Strong vendor coordination experience; familiarity with complex enterprise technology environments is advantageous.
* Excellent documentation, modelling, and communication skills for non-technical audiences.
Certifications such as TOGAF, Azure Solutions Architect, or AI-specific credentials preferre
