As an Automation Developer, you will build Robots and Workflow Automations under the guidance and support of Senior Developers and Business Analysts. You will work closely with team members to create solutions that meet business stakeholder requirements. The ideal candidate for this role is someone who is eager to learn more about Automation and wants to pursue a career in this exciting technology. Responsibilities: Troubleshoot issues, provide support, and maintain existing automation tools and infrastructure used within the operations. Analyse existing operational workflow, identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies, and develop automated solutions to improve productivity and reduce manual effort. Support existing automations and implement changes as part of a structured change control process. Develop solutions in accordance with Team best practices and development standards. Create and document test procedures and scenarios. Continuously research and evaluate new automation technologies, tools, and best practices to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation. Create and maintain documentation for all automation solutions, including design specifications, code comments, user guides, and troubleshooting guides. Test and evaluate new automations before their release. Help problem-solve day-to-day operational issues and provide timely responses and solutions as required. Requirements: Essential 2+ years of demonstrate experience in software development and automation, with a strong focus on operational efficiency. Experience with Blue Prism and/or IBM Business Automation Workflow. Good understanding of workflow design principles. Experience with C#, Visual Basic, SQL, JavaScript and data serialisation (XML, JSON, etc.). Capacity to learn quickly and progress rapidly from theoretical exercises to real-world delivery. Knowledge of relational databases (e.g., SQL server, Oracle) and experience with data manipulation and querying. Good communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex ideas simply and produce easily understood documentation. Ability to work to agreed timelines and enjoy steep learning curves. This is a permanent position based in PTSB's St Stephen's Green Dublin with a hybrid option available in the Republic of Ireland.
