The successful candidate will be enthusiastic about broadening their skills, focusing on market research and opportunity development where their contribution will impact our growth and customer base.
This is a two-year placement programme based in Drogheda.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct in-depth market research to identify high-potential export markets for environmental testing services.
Analyse regulatory frameworks, environmental standards, and compliance requirements in target countries.
Build knowledge of key industry sectors (e.g. pharma, food & beverage, manufacturing, utilities) to identify potential buyers and partners.
Build strong relationships with government agencies, trade bodies, and export support organisations.
Monitor competitor activity and benchmark Fitz Scientific's service offering against international competitors.
Identify potential barriers to entry and propose solutions or mitigation strategies.
Provide insights into pricing, service packaging, and competitive positioning for international markets.
Business Development & Lead Generation
Identify and engage with potential buyers and strategic partners in target regions.
Assist in development of tailored value propositions for different markets based on local needs and regulations.
Support the creation of tender responses, proposals, and capability statements for international clients.
Maintain regular communication with prospective clients to nurture long-term relationships.
Operational & Administrative Support
Maintain accurate CRM records of international leads, contacts, and opportunities.

Must have a full clean driving licence, valid in Ireland.

To qualify for the Graduate Programme, you must have:
A strong academic performance, a minimum of a (NFQI Level 8) 2.2 in a business/science-related degree.
Business or entrepreneurship knowledge, skills or experience is a distinct advantage.
You must have completed your degree between January **** and August ****.
Fluency in English is required.
Experience of working in international markets, or having lived, studied or worked abroad for a period is desirable.
The salary for the GradStart programme is €30k per year.
Working hours Monday – Friday 8.30am – 5.00pm.
