Overview
We are looking for a dedicated Plant and Equipment Coordinator to join our team. Reporting directly to the EHS Director and working closely with the Plant and Equipment Administrator, this role oversees plant and equipment operations across multiple projects, ensuring safety, compliance, and operational efficiency at all times.
Responsibilities
* Manage the daily use, monitoring, and control of all plant and equipment, ensuring adherence to best practices and safety regulations.
* Support the Plant and Equipment Administrator in keeping comprehensive and current records within the compliance management system, including asset inventories and hire logs.
* Work alongside Project Managers and site Supervisors to source and acquire plant and equipment in line with project requirements and procurement guidelines.
* Help prepare monthly reports for management meetings, outlining equipment performance, incidents (such as lost, recovered, or scrapped items), and current hire statuses.
* Perform regular audits and inspections of plant and equipment both on-site and in the workshop to ensure maintenance standards and safety compliance are met.
* Carry out Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) as needed.
* Respond promptly to equipment requests from sites, troubleshoot operational issues, and perform basic maintenance and repairs when necessary.
* Assist with coordinating warranty claims, repairs, and replacements by liaising with suppliers.
* Organize and manage the transfer and delivery of plant, equipment, consumables, and prefabricated materials between the workshop and project sites using company vehicles.
* Occasionally deliver plant equipment and prefabricated components to project locations as required.
Qualifications
* Basic proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and equipment compliance tracking systems (training will be provided).
* Familiarity with asset management tools, including QR code systems or similar technology (training provided).
* Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and reporting skills.
* Effective communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
* Ability to manage time efficiently and work independently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
* A mechanical or electrical trade qualification is beneficial but not essential.
