What’s the next big thing in aerospace? Have you thought about hybrid/electric propulsion and systems for next generation aircraft?
Well, that’s exactly what we are doing here at Collins Aerospace.
As a Principal Researcher on Electrical Systems, you will fulfill this mission by providing and driving impactful results on upcoming technology, in a collaborative environment. The team is an international group with talented, passionate, and knowledgeable experts in power electronics.
Successful candidates should demonstrate outstanding track records in three or more of the following areas:
* High power density power electronics converter design, analysis, and control.
* Modeling and evaluation of electrical power distribution architectures, including redundancy, fault isolation, and system safety.
* EMI analysis and filter design, including magnetic component optimization.
* Control of converters and motor-drive systems, implemented in digital control platforms (DSP, FPGA).
* High-voltage effects and mitigations, including arcing faults, creepage/clearance, partial discharge, and lightning, with knowledge of altitude/low pressure considerations.
An applied background in aerospace systems and architectures is a plus. Familiarity with aerospace regulations and certification standards is desirable but not essential.
Join us in pioneering green, sustainable aviation through theoretical analysis, simulations, and proof-of-concept demonstrations at our lab facilities.
