Base pay range
I'm working with a global supplier of automation solutions to find an experienced Technical Sales Engineer. In this role you’ll be responsible for developing and growing sales across Ireland with leading clients in high-impact industries such as Pharmaceutical, Medical Device, and Food.
Key responsibilities
* Own and grow key customer relationships by managing selected accounts from end-to-end, strengthening partnerships, and driving increased revenue and profitability.
* Manage the full sales lifecycle, from identifying new opportunities to winning orders and expanding portfolio share across assigned regions or sectors.
* Become a trusted industry expert, developing deep knowledge of customer applications and guiding and advising them on automation solutions.
* Drive new business and project wins by identifying prospects, developing tailored proposals, and converting opportunities for products, services, and engineering upgrades.
* Deliver exceptional customer support by providing both presales and post‑sales guidance—while contributing to business development efforts and maintaining accurate sales reporting.
Key requirements
* At least five years’ experience in automation or control sales in the industrial automation sector.
* Demonstrated experience in managing multiple key customer accounts.
* Knowledge of automation and control technology such as PLCs, Control Switchgear, motion control, sensors and actuators.
* Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
* Full, clean Driving License.
