The Role
This position is a member of the TCS actuarial team. The primary purpose of this role is to be the lead technical & actuarial expert across Actuarial Client Services. Senior role holders will lead in projects and in business‑as‑usual technical issues such as investigating and signing off corrections on customer policies. Junior Actuarial Associates are also sought.
Your responsibilities

Ensure policy administration illustration systems are updated as necessary.
Provide actuarial support to business projects (e.g., regulatory projects, calculation changes) including defining and signing off (where appropriate) calculation requirements and testing.
Contribute to review and validate liability cash flows.
Provide actuarial expertise and sign‑off for administration system or customer‑related escalations – provide product expertise, assign bases to determine customer redress, resolve issues and queries.
Refine existing models and build tools for Life & Pension reserves and capital for annual statements, capital calculations and management reports.
Prepare documents and test for model registration and affirmations.
Enhance actuarial processes to improve efficiency and productivity by validating, maintaining and managing risks of actuarial models.
Collaborate and engage with key stakeholders: actuarial team, finance, controllers, modelling, treasury, audit (internal and external), risk management.

Your Profile
Essential skills/knowledge/experience:

Degree in Actuarial/Mathematics or similar numerate subject.
Associate of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries.
3 years’ experience with at least 4 Actuarial exams passed or 2 years’ experience with more than 7 actuarial exams passed from the IFOA Core Principle & Core Practice exams for senior role.
In‑depth knowledge of a range of life assurance and pensions product types and charges.
Ability to meet project deadlines in a multi‑disciplinary environment (e.g., customer service, IT, Compliance).
Knowledge of regulatory requirements and supervisory expectations in Ireland (Central Bank of Ireland and The Pensions Authority).
Strong technical skills with experience in VBA, Python and SQL; experience in GGY Axis/Polysystems/Alpha a plus.
Experience with international accounting frameworks and/or reinsurance a strong plus.
Excellent analytical ability.
Excellent verbal and written communication/presentation skills.
Ability to support an actuarial project from conception to completion.
Report writing skills.
Highly organised, collaborative and adept at managing multiple competing priorities.
