Needed to join Allenkey Fittings Limited, an Irish leader in height safety and access solutions.
Founded in 1981, Allenkey Fittings is one of Ireland's most respected fall protection, access and safety solution specialists. As the business continues to modernise and expand, they're now seeking additional Fabricator/Welders to join our Fabrication Workshop.
Reporting to the Fabrication Manager, the successful candidate will undertake a varied workload including welding/fabricating and assembling of safety access equipment such as ladders, stepovers, walkways and stairs with occasional installation of fabricated equipment on-site, where applicable, and any other related duties.
The ideal candidate will have experience in a busy manufacturing facility and be able to work in a Team environment.
Qualifications & Skills
* Reading and Interpreting Blueprints: Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements and to fabricate metal components accurately and assemble metal components and structures according to specifications.
* Fabrication: Select appropriate welding equipment and techniques based on project specifications and construct metal components or structures using appropriate tools and techniques, including cutting, bending, and welding. Inspect completed welds for quality and structural integrity.
* Machine Operation: Set up and operate metalworking machinery such as rollers, drill presses.
* Quality Control: Perform quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet design specifications and safety standards.
* Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety regulations and protocols to maintain a safe working environment in the workshop and occasionally, on site.
* Documentation: Complete job reports and maintain records of work performed.
* Experience: Extensive welding, fabricating and on-site installation experience.
* Qualifications: Level 3 NVQ In Welding/Metal Fabrication
* Technical Skills: Proficiency in using metal fabrication tools and machinery, as well as advanced knowledge of welding techniques. Maintaining welding equipment and work area to ensure safety and efficiency.
* Mathematical Skills: Strong mathematical skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication processes.
* Personal Skills: Ability to collaborate with Team Members to complete projects on time and to specifications and ability to complete tasks independently.
* Attention to Detail: Ability to focus on precision and quality in all aspects of work.
* IT skills and experience with MS Office 365, Outlook, Adobe etc.
* Driving license - full clean Irish Driving license required.
* Working at Height - experience installing equipment for working at height is a bonus.
Rate: rate dependent on experience
