Title of Post: Housekeeping Supervisor, Cork University Hospital
Details of Service:
The Housekeeping Services Department provides a quality-driven service which creates a hygienically clean and safe environment for patients, clients, visitors, and staff across the hospital complex.
The department provides a comprehensive cleaning service on a 24/7 basis.
Purpose of Post:
* To plan, organise, and control the daily workload of the Housekeeping Services Department, ensuring high standards of hygiene are maintained throughout the hospital.
* To contribute to patient health by using cleaning procedures that control harmful organisms and prevent the spread of infection.
* To recruit, train, and lead a team of skilled staff, fostering a healthy working environment and good relationships.
* To ensure the maintenance of the building's fabric, fixtures, and fittings.
* To promote comfort and safety for patients, staff, and visitors.
* To identify and implement housekeeping and cleaning processes aligned with best practice standards and industry trends.
* To work closely with and support department managers reliant on the Housekeeping Services Department.
