Role Summary
* We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Engineer to join our dynamic team.
This role will involve working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the timely and cost-effective delivery of products and services.
Key Responsibilities
Procurement
* Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize costs and improve efficiency.
* Manage supplier relationships and negotiate contracts to secure best possible terms.
* Identify and mitigate risks associated with supplier performance and compliance.
Engineering Change Management
* Lead RfQ competitive exercises to identify lowest Total Cost of Ownership (ToCO) sources.
* Implement supplier changes to reduce risk and costs, improve performance and optimize part/supplier sourcing on a global basis.
Skills and Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related Science discipline (QQI level 8).
* Consideration may be given to individuals with a Business, Procurement or Supply Chain degree with extensive relevant technical experience.
* Minimum of 3 years professional experience within a Procurement/Technical capacity, preferably within an electro-mechanical manufacturing environment.
