**Staff Robotics Simulation Engineer Position**
We're seeking a Staff Robotics Simulation Engineer to join our team and play a pivotal role in the development of high-fidelity simulations for fixed-arm robots and Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs).
In this role, you will leverage your expertise in simulation platforms to develop custom sensor models and create synthetic data for advanced AI applications.
You'll work with a talented team of hardware, AI, and fellow simulation engineers to drive the future of robotics simulation and ensure that our simulations accurately reflect real-world performance.
Responsibilities
* Design and implement custom sensor models in various simulation platforms.
* Oversee the creation and optimization of simulations for fixed-arm robots and AMRs.
* Utilize Universal Scene Description (USD) to create and manage simulation assets effectively.
* Cross-functionally collaborate with hardware, AI, and simulation engineers to integrate simulation data into real-world applications.
Qualifications
* M.S. or Ph.D. in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
* 5+ years of experience in robotics, simulation, or related fields, with at least 3+ years directly building or extending simulation platforms for robotic systems.
* Proven expertise in using NVIDIA Isaac Sim or other common simulation platforms.
* Strong proficiency in Python, C++, and ROS/ROS2, with experience integrating simulation into real robotic stacks.
* Hands-on experience with sensor simulation, especially ToF, RGB-D, LiDAR, or IMUs.
* Solid understanding of the sim-to-real gap and techniques to reduce it.
