About the Role
">
The risk function is an independent second line of defense that monitors, controls, and supports all risk-taking activities across the group. The purpose of the risk function is to provide advice and guidance on risk while providing independent oversight and reporting on the organization's risk profile.

As a senior risk analyst, you will be responsible for assisting in the review, challenge, and ongoing monitoring of business model risk, which includes evaluating proposed strategic investments and joint venture oversight. You will also support the processes for identifying and assessing risks within the group and the licensed subsidiaries.

Key Responsibilities

1. Assist in the review, challenge, and ongoing monitoring of business model risk;

2. Support the processes for identifying and assessing risks within the group and the licensed subsidiaries;

3. Analyze and manipulate data for thought leadership and presentation purposes;

4. Remain current on industry best practices and emerging trends to anticipate potential risks;

5. Conduct comprehensive risk assessments through horizon scanning, top-down analysis, and collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams;

6. Provide a strong attention to detail and analytical mindset with the capacity to identify and prioritize key risks that may impact the group;

7. Assist in the preparation of risk assessment presentations for senior management, outlining key findings and recommendations;

Requirements
">
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
">
">
8. 3+ years' experience in a risk-centric position preferably including the analysis of financial data;
">
9. 3rd-level qualification (or equivalent) within finance, accountancy, or business-related discipline;
">
10. Understanding of the banking business model and how it links to the broader economic, risk, and regulatory environment;
">
11. Strong verbal and written communication skills (including Microsoft office, including Excel and PowerPoint) with ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and present key messages concisely for senior audiences;
">
12. Ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a small team, with strong attention to detail, completing tasks efficiently;
">
13. Ability to travel occasionally, if required.
