We are currently recruiting a Site Manager to oversee the management, supervision, and coordination of site resources, including subcontractors. The successful candidate will ensure that all works are delivered safely, on programme, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities
Health & Safety
Ensure compliance with the company Safety Statement and HSQE Management Systems.
Manage and control all health and safety issues on site, including subcontractors.
Prepare and implement RAMS in coordination with the Site Agent/Project Manager.
Deliver SPAs, toolbox talks, and site inductions.
Carry out regular HSQE inspections and close out actions in a timely manner.
Quality
Ensure all works comply with project specifications and drawings.
Monitor standards, rectify defects promptly, and secure client sign-off.
Raise NCRs as required and contribute to lessons learned.
Environmental
Ensure Waste Management Permits are in place.
Oversee works to ensure no adverse impact on the surrounding environment.
Planning & Coordination
Manage labour, subcontractors, plant, and equipment on site.
Contribute to lookahead programmes and ensure targets are met.
Monitor budgets, outputs, and productivity to maximise efficiency.
Liaise with stakeholders and mentor potential future team leaders.
Documentation & Reporting
Ensure all site documentation is complete and up to date (RAMS, SPAs, permits, diaries, labour/plant returns, etc.).
Attend meetings and provide progress updates to Site Agent/Project Manager.
Commercial Awareness
Monitor productivity, material usage, and overtime to control costs.
Understand programme implications on budget and manpower.
Identify and escalate variations or delays that may impact the contract.
People Management
Supervise and coordinate daily activities of site teams.
Maintain clear communication with staff, subcontractors, and management.
Resolve on-site issues quickly to minimise disruption.
Foster teamwork and mentor junior staff.
Requirements
Minimum 5 years' construction experience in Ireland or the UK on similar projects.
Strong knowledge of HSQE, programme management, and cost control.
Completion of Site Safety Supervisor Programme (or equivalent).
Full, clean driving licence.
Excellent written and spoken English.
Must be eligible to work in Ireland (no sponsorship available).
