At AM Site Solutions we have an exciting opportunity for a Junior Safety Officer to join our team.
You will be responsible for the development, implementation, and monitoring of health and safety policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with legislation, and promoting a culture of safety across all operations with the following main duties below:
* Develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures in line with current legislation and company standards.
* Conduct regular site inspections to identify hazards and ensure compliance with site safety regulations.
* Ensure that all health and safety documentation, including risk assessments and method statements, is maintained and up to date.
* Provide health and safety training and inductions to new employees, subcontractors, and site personnel.
* Investigate accidents and near-misses, preparing reports and recommending corrective actions.
* Monitor and evaluate health and safety performance, preparing reports for senior management.
* Ensure the use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety measures across all construction sites.
* Liaise with external regulatory bodies and ensure the company meets all legal requirements.
What Skills You Need:
* A relevant Health and Safety qualification (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent).
* Proven 2 years experience in a Health and Safety Officer role ideally within the construction industry.
* Experience with Traffic Management
* Strong knowledge of construction site safety regulations and procedures.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage with all levels of staff.
* Proficiency in risk assessment, incident investigation, and accident reporting.
* A proactive approach to identifying and addressing health and safety issues.
* Full driving license and the ability to travel to various construction sites across Limerick and beyond.

Pay: €32,000.00-€72,000.00 per year
