Abrivia are currently recruiting for a Senior Compliance Officer - Data Protection to join our client, a leading organisation within Non-Life Insurance. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced compliance professional with strong expertise in data protection, particularly within insurance or financial services.
Your Role and Responsibilities
* Provide expert guidance on data protection regulations and compliance requirements across the organisation.
* Support the Head of Data Protection and Data Protection Manager in managing regulatory requests from relevant authorities, ensuring timely and appropriate responses.
* Assist in maintaining and strengthening relationships with data protection regulators.
* Advise on compliance obligations related to new products, marketing materials, contracts, and third-party agreements.
* Review and amend policies to align with regulatory requirements and best practices.
* Coach and mentor team members on technical aspects of data protection and compliance.
* Collaborate with internal stakeholders to drive compliance-related projects and embed a culture of regulatory adherence.
* Prepare and present reports to senior management on compliance activities and developments.
Your Skills and Qualifications
* Minimum 5 years' experience in a compliance and data protection role, ideally within insurance or financial services.
* Strong technical knowledge of data protection legislation, governance frameworks, and regulatory requirements.
* A relevant qualification in compliance, law, or data protection.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and challenge stakeholders at all levels.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a pragmatic approach to decision-making.
* Proficient in MS Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
* Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines.
