Education and Outreach Officer (Maternity Cover) Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and dynamic Education and Outreach Officer to join our team.
The successful candidate will have responsibility for students registered on our STEM Passport for Inclusion programme at a major technological university.
The appointee will be expected to engage in education, research, and engagement in the domain of the STEM Passport, promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion.
* Develop and deliver the STEM Passport for Inclusion programme of education to students in secondary schools.
* Develop CPD and micro-credential programmes in mentoring for equality.
* Develop networking opportunities across the sector with a view to influencing national policy and practices in STEM and equality.
* Build a strong research profile that supports our research strategy, including affiliating with research institutes where appropriate.
* Sustain and conduct research, engaging in scholarship of quality and substance, and generating publications of an international standard pertaining to equality, diversity, and inclusion.
* Design, develop, and implement workshops, training, and knowledge exchange on key areas around gender balance and equality.
* Provide advice, guidance, and support on EDI issues.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Minimum 3 years' experience in a relevant field.
* Honours degree in a relevant discipline.
* Excellent project management skills.
* Excellent analytical and report writing skills.
* Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organisation skills.
* Ability to work effectively in national multi-partner collaborative projects.
* Full driving licence.
