Job Overview
We are seeking a Supply Chain & Procurement Specialist to join our client's team in Wexford. This is a key support role focused on ensuring smooth day-to-day operations across supply planning, purchasing, and supplier coordination.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage purchasing activities for raw materials, ingredients, and packaging to meet production schedules.
* Maintain accurate inventory levels and place timely purchase orders to avoid shortages or excess stock.
* Liaise with suppliers to confirm lead times, negotiate pricing, and manage delivery schedules.
* Coordinate closely with production and warehouse teams to ensure material availability.
* Track and monitor stock movement, ensuring proper stock rotation and minimal waste.
* Maintain procurement records and supplier information in internal systems.
* Support the implementation of cost-effective sourcing strategies where possible.
* Monitor and report on KPIs related to stock levels, purchasing efficiency, and supplier performance.
Requirements:
* 35 years of experience in Supply Chain, Procurement, or Purchasing (preferably in FMCG or food production).
* Strong understanding of inventory control and purchasing best practices.
* Experience working with suppliers and managing order cycles.
* Comfortable using supply chain software and MS Excel for data entry and reporting.
* Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
* Good communication skills and a collaborative approach to cross-functional work.
