Process Engineer Job Description
Collins McNicholas are seeking an experienced and driven Process Engineer to join their engineering team. This role will focus on optimizing injection moulding processes, tooling, and automation to support both new product introductions and continuous improvement across manufacturing operations.
* Lead the introduction of new products and develop standard process specifications.
* Optimize injection moulding processes using statistical and engineering techniques.
* Troubleshoot processing issues in collaboration with production and quality teams.
* Work closely with tooling designers and automation teams to improve existing systems.
* Support and implement continuous improvement initiatives across operations.
* Maintain documentation in line with ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 13485 standards.
* Assist in employee training on new technologies and process changes.
* Liaise with customers, equipment manufacturers, and raw material suppliers.
* Support real-time monitoring and reporting systems where applicable.
* Contribute to the development and implementation of lean manufacturing practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications
* Master's or Ph.D. degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
* 5+ years of experience in injection moulding processes and automation.
* Proven track record of improving efficiency and reducing costs.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Strong communication and project management skills.
