Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced A/V Design Engineering Team Lead to join our team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the inbox of requests, validating request scope, assigning tasks to respective team members, and load balancing team assignments.
Additionally, the Design Engineering Team Lead will reinforce team standards and SOPs for project set up, keep SOPs current with Meta's design standards, own the team Knowledge Library and continuing education, own data hygiene, files and folders properly sorted and archived, ensure weekly updates are on tasks, hold internal drawing reviews for design packages, manage the Lab technician team, oversee equipment inventory processes and management, implement inventory control procedures, assist in POC builds, and ensure reports are completed in time.
The Design Engineering Team Lead will also review and approve PTO & sick time, perform annual reviews with direct reports, and support the Ops Manager in reporting task metrics for MBR & QBR.
Responsibilities:
Lead the design and specification of integrated A/V systems for conference rooms, event spaces, labs, and collaboration areas, ensuring alignment with Meta's technology standards.
Develop detailed signal flow diagrams, rack elevations, and device connectivity schematics for all A/V projects.
Manage the inbox of requests and validating that scope is within service offerings
Assign tasks to direct reports while load balancing team assignments
Reinforce team standards and SOPs for project set up and delivery
Keep SOPs current with Meta's design standards and industry best practices
Own the team Knowledge Library and driving the continuing education
Own data hygiene; files and folders properly sorted and archived
Ensure weekly updates are on tasks, holding team accountable
Deliver CAD drawing support as needed
Hold internal drawing reviews for design packages, providing final stamp of approval before issuing
Direct oversight of the Labs team and Revit Modelling team.
Implement inventory control procedures to prevent loss or theft
Oversee equipment inventory processes and management
Assist in POC builds and ensure tasks, reports are completed in time
Review and approve PTO & sick time for direct reports
Hold annual reviews with direct reports, measuring performance and driving team success
Support the Service Delivery Manager in reporting task metrics for MBR & QBRs
Requirements:
CTS Certification
Minimum 5 years of experience in Autodesk Suite
Minimum 5 years of experience in Audio Visual Design Engineering
Strong leadership and management skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite
Preferred Qualifications:
Avixa CTS-D Certification
5 Years of AutoDesk Construction Cloud experience.
CCNA
Experience with inventory management software is a plus
Familiarity with Meta's design standards is a plus
