MUST HAVE VALID CURRENT WORK PERMIT TO WORK IN IRELAND AND BE BASED HERE FOR INTERVIEW

Reports to: Supervising Chef

Basic job function:

This is an exciting opportunity for technically experienced Pastry Chef to join an award winning business.

You will be responsible for the preparation from scratch of patisserie, including mousse, cremeux and curds, amongst a range of other premium desserts.

Minimum requirements

* Professional qualification in pastry or equivalent experience of at least 5 years making high end patisserie

Fluent in English, written and spoken

* Proven track record of delivering exceptional quality patisserie, this is not a position for a baker/cake maker

* Full working knowledge of an integrated food safety / HACCP system and BRCGS

* Must possess a positive professional attitude and have the ability to work with a variety of people efficiently and effectively

Tasks/Responsibilities

* Produce all desserts and patisserie from scratch using inhouse specifications and recipes

* Uphold departmental standards of quality and timing for delivery

* Adhere to standard work practices and standard operating practices for all equipment in the kitchen

* Maintain HACCP/BRCGS requirements in line with company procedures as set out by the Food Safety Manager

* Ensure all kitchen equipment is correctly used, cleaned and maintained
