We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team as a key member of our engineering team.
About the Role:
* The successful candidate will be responsible for engineering activities on a specific construction project.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Complete electrical design review to identify design gaps and deviations or contradictions in specifications.
2. Validate cable sizing and make recommendations as appropriate.
3. Ensure technical assessments are completed as required and technical issues are resolved without delay.
4. Compile and issue electrical technical submittals.
5. Manage submittals through approvals process, track procurement and delivery of electrical equipment and complete receipt verification process once equipment is delivered.
6. Attend & record regular supply chain meetings to ensure progress is monitored & maintained within overall construction programme.
7. Update and record progress on system trackers which are fully aligned with construction schedule.
8. Review electrical installation with BIM team to ensure design is constructible and that there is adequate space for installation and maintenance of all equipment and cabling.
9. Liaise with design team & supply chain to ensure correct operation of plant on site & successful handover.
10. Complete electrical system walk-downs to ensure systems are compliant with specifications and drawings.
11. Compile test pack, FTOP's and O&Ms and present for approval.
12. Manage specialist vendors during commissioning process to ensure timely completion of their work.
13. Undertake client training in line with agreed training plan.
Requirements:
* A third-level qualification in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering is required.
* The ideal candidate will have experience with both LV and MV systems primarily in building services and data centre environments.
* A significant amount of project engineering experience of 4 years+ with an Electrical Contractor is essential.
* The candidate should have a previous record of delivering small to medium electrical projects (commercial, industrial, pharma, data centre type projects).
* Commercial awareness is necessary.
* The ability to multitask and manage many priorities is crucial.
* Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with impact are essential.
* Excellent record-keeping and administration skills are required.
* The candidate should be able to plan and effectively manage projects.
* Process-driven with a focus on EHS and Quality Work Management Systems and Processes.
What We Offer:
A competitive hourly rate between €25 to €35 per hour. This comes out to approximately 50k to 70k when converted to an annual salary.
