Position Overview:
We are looking for a motivated and skilled Junior Sous Chef to assist in overseeing all aspects of our kitchen operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong culinary background, excellent leadership abilities, and a passion for delivering high-quality food.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supervise and manage the culinary team, including hiring, training, scheduling, and conducting performance evaluations.
* Maintain strict food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards in compliance with local regulations.
* Monitor food costs and manage inventory to help achieve financial goals.
* Collaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure excellent service and guest satisfaction.
* Stay current with industry trends and incorporate new techniques and ingredients as appropriate.
* Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that encourages teamwork and professional growth.
Qualifications:
* Proven experience as a Junior Sous Chef or Sous Chef in a high-volume restaurant.
* Must be knowledgeable of HACCP requirements
* Culinary degree or equivalent professional experience.
* Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, kitchen equipment, and food safety regulations.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
* Creative and innovative approach to menu development and food presentation.
* Ability to work under pressure and maintain high standards in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong financial acumen with experience in cost control and budget management.
