A successful graduate engineering geologist will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our organization by contributing to various projects and developing their skills in a collaborative environment.


Key Responsibilities

* Work within project teams to deliver high-quality services to clients, ensuring timely completion and effective communication.
* Participate in site inspections to verify that designs are properly executed in the field, fostering a culture of quality and precision.
* Supervise site investigation works, applying technical expertise to ensure accurate results.
* Conduct geotechnical logging of ground conditions, identifying potential risks and opportunities for improvement.
* Complete and report on in-situ geotechnical testing, providing valuable insights for project development.
* Assist in creating geotechnical designs that align with industry standards, emphasizing safety, sustainability, and efficiency.
* Support the preparation of reports and presentations, presenting complex data in an accessible and engaging manner.
* Maintain compliance with safety, legal, ethical, and regulatory requirements, upholding the highest standards of professionalism.
* Contribute to the tendering process, learning how to prepare bids and project proposals, enhancing business acumen and strategic thinking.
* Analyze and interpret geological and geotechnical data with attention to detail, driving informed decision-making and innovative solutions.
* Collaborate on problem-solving for project challenges, prioritizing time management and accuracy, and delivering results-oriented outcomes.


Requirements

To excel in this role, candidates must possess:

* A minimum 2:1 Bachelor's degree or Master's in Applied or Engineering Geology, demonstrating academic excellence and relevant knowledge.
* Familiarity with field techniques like rock mapping, stereonets, slope stability, kinematic analysis, and basic risk assessment, showcasing practical experience and adaptability.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills, enabling effective relationships with clients, colleagues, and agencies.
* Knowledge of Codes of Practice, Design Standards, and Health and Safety Regulations, ensuring adherence to industry best practices.
* A commitment to continuous learning and professional development, embracing growth and innovation.
* A full clean driving license is preferred but not essential.
