Job Title: Junior Graphic Designer
Location: Remote*
*Applicants need to reside in Ireland and be available to attend in-person meetings once a month at our HQ in Tipperary.
Experience Required: Minimum 1 year in a design-related role
About the Role:
The Smart Group is seeking a talented Junior Graphic Designer to join our creative team. This role is ideal for someone with a keen eye for detail, a solid foundation in graphic design, and a passion for branded merchandise. You will be instrumental in producing premium, client-facing presentations, applying logos to product imagery, and creating engaging layouts.
Responsibilities:
1. Design premium presentations for branded merchandise proposals
2. Photoshop logos onto products to create realistic visuals
3. Create packaging designs, brochures, leaflets, and other print materials
4. Finalize artwork for print
5. Create clean, consistent layouts in line with client brand guidelines
6. Carry out typesetting and artwork amendments as required
7. Follow creative directions and design briefs accurately
8. Support senior designers in delivering daily design assets for clients from multiple brands, including social media posts
Skills & Experience:
* Degree in Graphic Design or a related field
* Minimum 1 year of experience in graphic design or a similar creative role
* Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Adobe InDesign
* Comfortable using Microsoft Word and Excel
* Strong attention to detail and good design sense
* Clear and professional email communication skills
* Ability to take feedback and follow briefs with accuracy and consistency
Desirable (but not essential):
* Experience with Adobe After Effects or motion graphics tools
