Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Precision Machinist to manufacture and maintain high-precision tooling for medical devices.
Main Responsibilities:
* Set up and operate toolroom equipment, including high-precision CNC machines, to produce optical mold tooling and machine components.
* Inspect and document tooling to tight tolerances, ensuring compliance with quality standards.
* Debug and resolve component issues promptly, collaborating with QA and manufacturing teams.
* Assemble complex machine tools independently and perform final fit/retrofit tasks (Lead Complex Assemblies).
* Support continuous improvement of processes, adhering to health, safety, and quality requirements.
Key Qualifications:
* 6+ years post-apprenticeship experience in a machine shop; medtech experience preferred.
* 3+ years post-apprenticeship experience in a machine shop; medtech experience a plus.
* Proficiency in CNC machining, injection moulding, or precision metrology.
* Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, and ability to work independently or in teams.
* Excellent communication skills and familiarity with quality systems.
