Fund Accounting Assistant Vice President - Private Equity

The Opportunity
As Assistant Vice President – Fund Accounting, you’ll play a key leadership role within one of the firm’s fastest‑growing business areas. Working closely with senior management, you’ll oversee a talented team responsible for delivering high‑quality accounting and reporting services to a diverse portfolio of alternative investment funds.
This is a client‑facing, hands‑on leadership role suited to someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys combining technical expertise with people management and client relationship skills.
Key Responsibilities
* Act as a senior point of contact for fund accounting clients, ensuring consistent service delivery and timely resolution of queries.
* Oversee production and review of NAVs, ensuring accuracy and adherence to internal controls.
* Lead, coach and develop a team of fund accountants, supporting their professional growth and technical capability.
* Build and maintain strong relationships across internal teams and external stakeholders.
* Review fund documentation ahead of new launches to identify operational risks and ensure readiness.
* Represent the business at client board meetings as required.
* Contribute to process improvement and support new business initiatives through subject‑matter expertise.
About You
* 6+ years’ experience in alternative fund accounting, including at least 3 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
* Strong working knowledge of alternative fund structures and instruments (Private Equity / Closed‑ended experience is a distinct advantage).
* Experience using fund accounting systems such as Investran and/or Geneva.
* Solid understanding of fund domiciles, regulatory requirements, and performance calculations.
* Strong data management and analytical skills.
* Professional qualification (ACCA or equivalent) preferred but not essential.
* Excellent communication, organisational and problem‑solving skills.
