Job Description

As a key member of our facilities team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities.
* Maintenance and Repairs: Coordinating routine maintenance and addressing repairs for building systems such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and structural components to ensure they are functioning properly.
* Space Management: Planning and optimizing the use of space within the facility, including office layouts, meeting rooms, and common areas, to meet the needs of the organization and its employees.
* Safety and Compliance: Ensuring the facility complies with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards. This includes conducting regular inspections and audits, and implementing safety protocols and emergency response plans.
* Vendor Management: Coordinating with external vendors and contractors for services such as cleaning, landscaping, security, and specialized maintenance. This includes negotiating contracts, managing budgets, and overseeing the quality of work.
* Sustainability Initiatives: Implementing and promoting sustainable practices within the facility, such as energy efficiency measures, waste reduction programs, and environmentally friendly building materials and technologies.
* Asset Management: Keeping track of facility-related assets, including equipment, furniture, and supplies. This includes maintaining inventory records, scheduling preventative maintenance, and managing asset lifecycles.
* Budgeting and Cost Control: Developing and managing the facilities budget, including forecasting expenses, tracking expenditures, and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
* Customer Service: Providing support and assistance to employees and other facility users, addressing their needs and concerns related to the physical work environment.

- Out-of-hours on-call availability on occasion.
