Role Summary
The Estimator is responsible for creating accurate & timely Quotation's for the growing service department in the KCC Group offering, Automatic doors, Fire door inspections, Hospitality Door Locking System's. This includes analysing incoming service requests or breakdowns, assessing material, labour costs, liaising with Customers and internal purchasing team, and ensuring estimates align with company profitability targets.
Key Responsibilities
* Review service requests, breakdowns, maintenance / repair work orders, client specifications, and site conditions to ascertain scope of work.
* Request site visits/surveys where needed to take accurate measurements and assess conditions.
* Prepare detailed cost estimates: labour, materials, parts, equipment, and overheads.
* Source parts and materials – request supplier quotes, compare costs, lead times, and availability.
* Liaise with technicians / service field staff to ensure estimates reflect actual on‑site conditions.
* Monitor, update and maintain cost data (labour rates, material prices, part availability) for accuracy and relevance.
* Produce proposals / quotes and submit them for internal review.
* Collaborate with internal departments (service, operations, purchasing, sales) to clarify scope, resolve issues, manage change orders.
* Ensure estimates are delivered within agreed timeframes.
* Assist with tracking actual job costs vs estimates to identify variances.
* Maintain records/documentation of estimates, quotes, supplier communications, and versions of estimates in response to changes.
* Uphold quality and accuracy standards (ensure all estimates meet relevant regulations, specification codes, safety requirements).
Qualifications & Experience
* 2‑3 years' experience in estimating or cost‑analysis in a service, maintenance or construction environment.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and estimating / costing
* Strong numerical, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
* Excellent attention to detail.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills – able to liaise effectively with clients, suppliers, internal teams.
* Organised, able to prioritise multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Pay: €38,000.00-€42,000.00 per year
