Project Coordinator for Public Sector Projects
This is a dynamic opportunity to join our team of experts specialising in public sector projects. As a Project Coordinator, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality cost consultancy services across a portfolio of nationwide public sector projects.
Key Responsibilities:
* Tender Preparation & Cost Planning: Prepare detailed and accurate tender documents, cost plans, and estimates for public sector projects.
* Budget Management: Monitor project costs, prepare interim valuations, and manage cash flow to ensure projects remain within budget.
* Contract Administration: Manage contractual matters, including payment applications, variations, and final accounts.
* Stakeholder Liaison: Build strong working relationships with clients, contractors, and design teams, ensuring effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
* Risk Management: Identify and manage risks to minimise potential impacts on cost and schedule.
* Compliance: Ensure all work adheres to relevant regulations, public procurement guidelines, and internal quality standards.
* Reporting: Provide regular progress and cost reports to senior management and clients.
The ideal candidate will have a degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline, minimum 3+ years experience in a PQS consultancy environment, ideally at Senior QS level, and strong knowledge of public sector procurement, particularly Department of Education and housing projects.
This is a hands-on role where you will quickly take ownership of your own set of projects, liaising closely with clients, contractors, and internal teams.
Requirements include a full, clean driving licence and flexibility to travel nationwide for site visits.
