Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Accounts Administrator to support our finance team in managing day-to-day accounting and administrative tasks.
The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of accounting principles, strong IT skills, and experience with Irish financial practices.
This is a key role in ensuring the smooth and compliant running of our financial operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Process accounts payable and receivable, including supplier invoices and customer payments
Reconcile bank statements, creditor and debtor ledgers
Prepare and issue sales invoices, credit notes, and monthly statements
Assist with month-end and year-end accounts preparation
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and filing systems
Process employee expenses and support payroll administration
Liaise with suppliers, clients, and internal teams to resolve queries
Prepare and file VAT returns and assist with other Revenue obligations (e.g., PAYE, RCT if applicable)
Support the finance team with administrative tasks and ad hoc reporting
Requirements:
Proven experience in a similar finance or accounts administration role in Ireland
Strong knowledge of basic accounting principles and Irish financial regulations
Proficiency in accounting software such as Sage
Excellent MS Excel skills (formulas, lookups, pivot tables, etc.)
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Strong organisational and time management skills
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Required:
Relevant qualification in Accounting, Finance, or Business (e.g., IATI, part-qualified ACCA/ACA)
Experience with Revenue Online Service (ROS), VAT returns, and other Irish compliance procedures
Familiarity with payroll systems (e.g. Collsoft)
