The Opportunity
We're seeking a Senior VAT Manager to join a leading professional services firm in Belfast.
This is a client-facing position offering the chance to work across a wide range of sectors and projects.
You'll deliver high-level VAT advice, ensure compliance, and play a vital role in the growth of the VAT function through business development and relationship building.

Key Responsibilities
· Provide VAT and indirect tax advice to UK and international clients
· Advise charities and not-for-profit organisations on VAT liability, recovery, partial exemption, and related areas
· Support clients on property transactions and provide ad hoc advisory services
· Carry out VAT Due Diligence assignments for high-value deals
· Undertake VAT health checks and compliance reviews
· Oversee and review client VAT returns submitted by the business
· Communicate key VAT updates internally and externally
· Manage client expectations and maintain strong relationships
· Actively contribute to business development and team strategy

About You
· Strong technical knowledge of UK VAT
· Experience gained in practice or a HMRC environment
· Proven ability to manage a varied VAT client portfolio across multiple sectors
· Confident communicator, capable of engaging with stakeholders at all levels
· Experience in staff supervision or team management
