Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a crucial role in supporting the pharmacist with various tasks and activities in the pharmacy.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist the pharmacist in accurately receiving, recording, and assembling prescriptions and issuing receipts.
* Provide advice to customers about medicines and OTC products in a professional and empathetic manner, referring to the pharmacist where necessary.
* Maintain records and ensure documents related to various schemes are up-to-date and in line with pharmacy procedures.
* Maintain stock control, anticipating shortages and communicating with the team, placing orders with wholesalers, and verifying receipts.
* Evaluate any errors or safety issues and bring them to the attention of the Supervising Pharmacist.
* Maintain consistent professional standards at all times as directed by the Supervising Pharmacist and in line with Standard Operating Procedures.
* Support the pharmacy team in all areas of pharmacy operations, including OTC sales and front-of-counter duties.
* Maintain good relationships with the pharmacy team, customers, and other healthcare professionals.
Requirements:
* IPU Pharmacy Technician course or equivalent completed, or several years' experience in a Dispensary.
* Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
* Good interpersonal and effective communication skills.
* Able to build relationships within a team.
* Ability to prioritise and multi-task.
* A positive and professional attitude with an appreciation of the importance of delivering excellent customer service and the ability to use discretion when addressing confidential information.
