EY teams ask better questions to find new answers for the complex issues facing our world today.Your Team and the OpportunityAs part of our Data Analytics and AI team, the Data Solution Architect role is pivotal in enabling our clients to derive significant value from their information assets. Through collaboration and domain expertise, our team embeds innovative data analytics solutions into existing business areas, transforming data into strategic assets. We are looking for a Data Architect who is passionate about leveraging data to solve complex problems and drive business outcomes.You will play a key role in driving growth by developing new and existing client relationships and delivering first-class customer experience on high-profile engagements. The Data Analytics and AI team serve as trusted advisors, both practical and innovative, to embed innovative data analytics solutions into existing business areas and transforming data into strategic assets.Working across all industries, you’ll develop your career by communicating creative, strategic goals both internally and externally. As a senior manager, the opportunity to assess and improve our clients’ reporting policies and corporate governance processes will impact these ever-challenging areas during transformational and regulatory changes.ResponsibilitiesLeading diverse teams with varying skillsets, who use different Data and Analytics technologies.Adapting leadership style to fit team, client, and cultural needs; anticipate and identify risks and escalate issues as appropriate.Coach and counsel junior members of the team, sharing best practices, industry trends and technical knowledge to foster professional growth and development.Lead the design and implementation of data artefacts, including data modelling, data integration, data storage, and data governance based on industry best practices and client-specific requirements.Hands-on experience on data modelling techniques to create Enterprise Data Models.Implement data management concepts (Metadata Management, Data Quality, Data Testing).Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, engineers, and business stakeholders, to translate business requirements into technical specifications and architectural designs.Assess existing data architectures, identify areas for improvement, and recommend remediation plans to optimise data management processes and systems.Develop data migration strategies and oversee the execution of data migration activities, ensuring data integrity and minimal disruption to client operations.Act as a trusted advisor to clients, offering expert insights on data architecture, governance, quality and security.Stay current with emerging technologies, trends, and industry standards in data architecture and management, and provide thought leadership to drive innovation and enhance consulting offerings.QualificationsMinimum of 7 years of experience in data analysis and strategy, with a proven track record of creating impactful visual stories from complex datasets.Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field.Proven expertise in data modelling and database design (ER models, Dimensional models, Data Vaults).Extensive experience in developing code for SQL and NoSQL databases, with proficiency across on-prem and cloud platforms.Extensive knowledge of data integration techniques, ETL, and data warehouse design.Familiarity with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or cloud-based data services (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).Understanding of data quality principles, including profiling, cleansing, and validation.Ability to create comprehensive documentation for data models, processes, and governance frameworks.Experience modelling real-time data streams using technologies such as Apache Kafka or Apache Flink.Experience designing and implementing data governance frameworks.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to translate complex requirements into innovative data solutions.Excellent client-facing skills and ability to manage relationships with clients at various levels.Strong leadership abilities to mentor a team of consultants and drive project outcomes.Preferred qualificationsAbility to stay up-to-date with industry trends and apply best practices to data strategy and operations.Experience in consulting with strategic advisory capabilities.Familiarity with relational, NoSQL, and cloud-based data platforms.What EY OffersWe offer a competitive remuneration package.
