Junior Tax Analyst Job Description
Our client, a leading e-commerce company headquartered in China, is establishing a Finance Team in Dublin, Ireland. We are seeking a highly skilled Junior Tax Analyst to join the team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare and submit Irish tax returns, including VAT and corporation tax filings, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and regulations.
* Conduct comprehensive tax research and analysis to guarantee adherence to Irish tax laws, including VAT, corporation tax, and PAYE.
* Liaise with external tax advisors and tax authorities as necessary to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
* Support the finance team in preparing tax-related financial statements, providing accurate and timely information.
* Develop and maintain tax compliance policies and procedures, promoting a culture of excellence and adherence to regulatory requirements.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify tax-related risks and opportunities associated with business operations, fostering a proactive and risk-aware environment.
* Undertake special projects as required, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to adapt to changing priorities.
Required Skills:
* Advanced knowledge of tax accounting, audit processes, and tax legislation, with a deep understanding of Irish tax laws and regulations.
* Demonstrated experience in preparing intricate tax returns for corporations, showcasing expertise and attention to detail.
* Meticulous attention to detail, adept organizational skills, and the ability to deliver on tight timelines, ensuring timely completion of tasks and projects.
* Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word, with the ability to leverage these tools to drive efficiency and productivity.
* Capability to collaborate effectively within a multicultural team, demonstrating patience, understanding, and a commitment to teamwork.
* Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced start-up environment, embracing change and uncertainty with enthusiasm and resilience.
* Experience gained from a Big-4 accounting firm is preferred, but not essential, as we welcome applications from candidates with transferable skills and experience.
Minimum Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field, demonstrating a strong academic foundation in taxation and finance.
* Over one year of experience in Irish tax, preferably with a public accounting firm and/or multinational corporation, showcasing practical application of tax knowledge and skills.
* ACA, ACCA, or CTA qualified, with a recognized professional certification in taxation, highlighting expertise and commitment to ongoing professional development.
