Job Description
An experienced HR Business is required by Careerwise recruitment to work with a Galway based manufacturing company – 11 months maternity cover contract.
Role of this position
1. Administer and maintain the HR Information System (HRIS), ensuring accuracy and timely updates of employee data.
2. Produce HR reports and metrics to support decision-making and compliance requirements.
3. Maintain personnel files in line with GDPR and company standards.
4. Lead end-to-end employee relations case management, including performance, disciplinary, grievance, absence, and capability cases.
5. Ensure compliance with statutory requirements (e.g., leave entitlements, working time, pension obligations).
6. Coach managers on goal setting, feedback, performance improvement, and development planning.
7. Partner with line managers across manufacturing, operations, and support functions on day-to-day people-related activities.
8. Support the in-house recruitment process from requisition to onboarding.
9. Ensure HR practices are compliant with Irish employment law and company policies.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
10. 5 years' relevant experience in a HR Generalist or HRBP role, ideally within manufacturing or a fast-paced operational environment.
11. Level 7/8 qualification in Human Resources Management or related discipline.
12. Strong working knowledge of Irish employment legislation.
