Job Description
The Security Infrastructure Lead plays a crucial role in ensuring the overall security strategy aligns with organizational objectives. This position requires technical expertise in security systems and infrastructure management, as well as strong project management skills. The successful candidate will lead the development and implementation of physical systems architecture and physical infrastructure strategy, providing expert technical advice on digital solutions and security system matters.
Responsibilities include leading the planning, design, and delivery of major physical security, technology & security systems projects across Gas Networks Ireland portfolio. The Security Infrastructure Lead will also develop project scopes, timelines, and budgets for new Security infrastructure installations or significant upgrades, reviewing the design and implementation of security systems for new locations within the portfolio.
This role involves managing relationships with internal stakeholders, external vendors, and contractors involved in capital projects. The Security Infrastructure Lead will coordinate with other departments on integration of physical security infrastructure and security systems with other building systems. Compliance with relevant legislation, including the Critical Entities Resilience Directive (CERD), is also a key responsibility.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field
* Minimum of 5 years' experience in security systems and technology infrastructure management, with at least 3 years in a senior role
* Strong project management skills with experience in both Agile and traditional methodologies
* Strong technical knowledge of various security systems, including access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, IoT, SOC Technology, and integrated security management platforms
* Excellent understanding of IT networks and how they integrate with physical and digital security systems

The Security Infrastructure Lead will work closely with the Security Manager and the Security Operations lead to develop the Price Control Submission for Gas Networks Ireland Security function. Flexibility to extend working hours and occasional international travel may be required. A full driver's license is also necessary.
