About The Role
We have two exciting opportunities for the role of Store Person in our Kerry Agribusiness Team in Kilrush, Co. Clare.
One position is on a permanent contract, and the other is a 12‑month fixed‑term contract. Working hours are from 08:30 to 17:00, Monday‑Friday, and from 08:30 to 13:00 on Saturdays.
As a Store Person, you will play a dynamic role, facing new challenges and opportunities every day. Your duties will include assisting customers and managing stock. You will be supported by both your local store team and the larger company team, contributing to sales and ensuring product and service quality. Previous experience in sales, customer service, or roles like warehouse operative, forklift driver, store operative, or stock controller is advantageous. Familiarity with the agriculture sector is also beneficial. Training will be provided in product handling, forklift operation, manual handling, and chemical safety.
What will I be doing?
Serving customers and dealing with product enquiries, both face‑to‑face and on the phone, and handling cash.
Merchandising products in the store and yard.
Keeping customer data safe and secure.
Managing stock and deliveries; keeping stock records in Oracle.
Housekeeping within the store.
Performing forklift duties – loading and unloading products such as animal feeds, fertilizers, and store goods.
Following health and safety guidelines.
Supporting the store manager and other team members.
What do I need to be successful?
Great communication and customer service skills are required.
High level of attention to detail and strong organisational, analytical, problem‑solving and administrative skills.
A team player with a strong desire for continuous learning and professional growth.
Knowledge of agriculture products is desirable.
Computer skills (Oracle, Outlook, Excel, etc.) are desired; training will be provided if necessary.
Forklift training, manual handling, and chemical training will be provided during induction; prior experience is beneficial.
