OverviewAMF Consulting is partnering with a well-established electrical contractor to recruit an Electrical Tenders and Estimating Engineer to support continued growth across commercial, industrial and residential projects in Ireland.The RoleThis role is responsible for preparing accurate, competitive and compliant electrical tenders and quotations. You will work closely with engineering, procurement and delivery teams to ensure bids are commercially sound and technically robust, with smooth handover into project execution.ResponsibilitiesReview and manage electrical tender opportunities across public and private sector platformsAssess drawings, specifications, BOQs and employer requirementsPrepare detailed electrical estimates covering labour, materials, subcontractors, overheads and riskCompile full tender submissions including pricing, technical documentation and clarificationsEnsure compliance with ET101, Irish Building Regulations and relevant standardsLiaise with suppliers, subcontractors, clients and consultants on technical and commercial mattersRespond to post-tender queries and support value engineering where requiredPrepare handover packs for successful projects and support budget setupMaintain tender registers and provide reporting on pipeline and outcomesRequirementsApplicants must hold one of the following:QQI Level 6 Advanced Certificate in Electrical Engineering or Electrical CraftQQI Level 7 Ordinary Degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services EngineeringTime-served Electrical Apprenticeship holding a National Craft Certificate – Electrician, with strong estimating or technical office experienceExperience in electrical estimating or tendering within the Irish construction sectorStrong understanding of commercial and industrial electrical installationsFamiliarity with Irish procurement and tendering processesHigh attention to detail with strong numerical and organisational skillsProficient in Microsoft Excel and standard office systemsConfident communicator with a collaborative approach
