Role:
New Product Development Graduate
1. Fixed Term 24 months, Full time,
2. Location: Dublin 12 - Hybrid - Plus Travel to Asia
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
This role will involve being part of the New Product team based in Dublin and dealing daily with our office in China. You will be involved in all aspects of new product development for our range of lighting products. You will work closely with our manufacturers and our quality control, technical, marketing and sales teams in China, Australia, UK and Europe to ensure that we supply high-quality products to our customers.
Training will be provided on all aspects of the role to ensure a smoot integration into the team.
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
3. Assist in the management of all product development projects, constantly striving to push projects through the development process within agreed deadlines
4. Collaborate with QC and Technical teams in Dublin to gather feedback
5. Daily communication with colleagues in China to update and follow up actions.
6. Management and review of product technical data ensuring accuracy and consistency.
7. Review product designs and provide suggested improvements.
8. Assist in management of product samples, ordering, reviewing, cataloguing.
9. Collate and cross reference new product information supplied by QC and NPD China. Complete comparison sheets and make suggestions based on evaluation of data.
10. Produce sales analysis reports showing results of worldwide product launches.
11. Collaborate with Sales and Marketing departments in producing catalogues and promotional materials to support launches of our products worldwide
12. Evaluate the department's processes, suggest improvements, and develop strategies.
Key Requirements:
13. Bachelor's Degree in Product Design, Engineering, Purchasing, Product Development, Project Mgmt.
14. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite such as Excel, outlook and word is essential.
15. Highly organised with proven project management skills
16. Task focused with a proactive and positive approach to problem-solving.
17. A high level of accuracy and attention to detail are essential.
18. A self-starter with strong communication and interpersonal skills
19. Willingness to learn, get involved in all aspects of the department and enjoy working in a fast-paced ambitious team.
